A parade, carnival, takeoff on “American Idol,” pancake breakfast, live music and other festivities will mark the 32nd annual Prescott Valley Days event, which begins Thursday evening.
The Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce will conduct the four-day festival that observes the 1978 incorporation of Prescott Valley.
As of Monday afternoon, the chamber received 43 entries for the Saturday morning parade, said Marnie Uhl, president and chief executive officer of the chamber.

“They are coming in a lot now,” she said.

Parade participants who want to be judged must sign up by 5 p.m. today, she said.

The categories are church, youth, civic-nonprofit, commercial units, custom class cars and marching guards.

The deadline for other parade entrants is noon Friday at the chamber office, 3001 N. Main St., Suite 2A. For more information, call the chamber at 772-8857.

Twenty finalists qualified for the Prescott Valley Idol competition Friday night, Uhl said. They have competed in open-mic nights.
